Another impressive tournament performance by our U18 girls.
First match was versus a team from Jackson, Mississippi. Their team is #1 in the State and reigning State Cup champs. They are ranked #13 in US Region III and #60 in the country. We played very well after we gave up two early goals and came back to win 3-2 which was an outstanding result.
The second match against Emerald Coast was pretty awesome. The girls were really pumped about their play and they should have been. Everyone played very well in this game. We moved the ball very well and we got in behind the defense. This was an excellent match and win [3-0].
The third match was against Knoxville Impact. They are the reigning State Cup Champs as well. We got off to a good start and scored. We looked very good until we conceded the tying goal. The second half was different. We got back out there and took care of business and got in behind the defense. Match won 4-1.
The fourth game versus PFC was really impressive. It was very good soccer by both teams. Even though we lost 2-1, it was fun to watch and it was exciting. We were tired and we kept fighting. This was a really good final. It is probably the best one that we have been in.
