Windy conditions and thick grass created slightly difficult playing conditions for the TUFC teams at Region D Cup March 15th.  The TUFC U14 girls played against a very strong team from Bay United for their first game of the day.  A physical and well fought game by both sides presumed, with TUFC down 3-0 by the end.  Despite the score, TUFC had some good scoring opportunities but could not quite find the back of the net this time. 
    The second game of the day was against another talented team, Emerald Coast United.  The team of only 12 for TUFC fought fatigue and high winds along with another physically aggressive game.  The girls never let down and battled through the first half.  Lily Williams finally broke free through Emerald's defense and performed an incredible "scoop shot" to dupe the goal keeper and score the first goal of the tournament for the team.  Going into the second half the teams were tied at 1 a piece, TUFC ready to play out the final 35 minutes with all they had.  Unfortunately, Emerald Coast was able to capitalize on the mistakes by TUFC and scored two more goals winning the game 3-1. 
    The TUFC girls are likely to see both teams again later this season, and will be focused and fired up to win.
